When my son was in second grade, we got him a flip phone so that he could contact us if needed. Occasionally, he'd have to get onto the bus by himself to go to school if we needed to leave before his bus came. On the few times this happened, I would have him text me to let me know he's on the bus. And so I would get a text that said I ON BUS.

Coming from particle physics, I kept imagining a big bus with an ion on the side. And so Ionbus Software was born.
